Title: My Stereo-Modded EII
Post by: FairlightCMI on January 21, 2016, 05:20:53 PM
Hello,

Here are some pics of my stereo-modded EII.  This mod was done back in the 80's by Michael Krewitsky, the owner of San Diego's Pro Sound and Musician's Repair. He was big into E-MUs back in the day. He also was a sound designer who made quite a few sounds for the Northstar and OMI libraries, where his name can be found in the credits.  I bought this unit from him a few years ago and it was already modded like this. The mod features a pan pot per voice, allowing for placing each voice in the stereo-field. I think it's pretty cool and rare and thought I'd share this.  :-)

Can't believe this....
This is not stereo, is double monoral, a mono signal attacking two different channels, but mono.
I would have been enthousistic if the mod consisted of an E2+ (double bank), one for left, and another for right, allowing then to load a stereo signal, well, you get the idea...
This card is just shit...

An eight channel mixer will do this job. Kind of retarded to build this into the EII...  ???

Yeah, by taking as well the separate outputs on the back...

The guy who made the board must be working for the Pentagon... ;D
