Title: E3 XP/S File System & Types?
Post by: Schnooker on March 06, 2017, 07:43:09 PM
Hello everyone.
I'm trying to build libraries for my E3 XS, but I'm not sure what format is supported for this sampler?

My options are EOS, EIS, Sound Font, Wav, but none are properly showing on the sampler.

Could someone please help?

Stephen

The EIII XP/S can read EIII XP/S Samples and Import AKAI S1000 Samples.

Hi Wolfman, and thank you for answering, but could you tell me the exact file formats/extensions - Sound Font, EIS, etc..

Translator 6 has many options for various formats, but none thus far have been successful.

I don't think that Translator can export as EIII format.
You must build a EIII Disk with EIII Banks, this is not a FAT16 or FAT32 Disk like windows use.
Try to export as AKAI S1000 Program and try to import it in the EIII.

You can also use EMXP to convert WAV or SoundFont2 files to E3X banks (=EIII XP/S banks); also supported is the conversion from Emulator-I, Emulator-II, original Emulator-III, Emax-I, Emax-II and SP12 sound banks into E3X sound banks
EMXP can also write the generated E3X banks to EIII hard disks/memory cards.
