Title: EIII Sound Library for Logic
Post by: DogbreathE3 on April 25, 2017, 02:34:36 AM
Hi there,

I have dozens of songs written with an EIII, but no longer have the EIII. Does anyone know where to get the EIII sound library for Logic? I'm guessing that would be in the EXS format, or perhaps Sound Font.

I've checked on line but have found nothing.

Thanks, Peter

1) Find the Sounds (any format you can find - CD-ROM, disk / bank images, sound file...)
2) Use EMXP (Windows Software) to convert them into SoundFont 2 files

Thanks for the response.

That's a definite solution. But I was hoping there was a package of the patches/banks already mapped out in the original format that came on the EIII. Is there something like this available? Or has anybody already converted the sounds and mapped them?

Thanks again, Peter

If you can obtain the EIII Factory CD-ROMs or Floppies, the mappings will be maintained when converted into SoundFont2 via EMXP. You can also map banks using EMXP if you need to customize or tailor them for your purpose at hand.

Rvankuran,

I'll give that a try. Many thanks for your help.
