Apparently Alchemy 3 is now part of abandonware and free to use.

You can download it here: http://www.macintoshgarden.org/apps/alchemy-30

These apps might also be interesting if you're still working in Mac OS 9 or earlier:

Thanks!

Any hints on software usable (for the EIII) on Mac OS X would be great. Also SCSI card recommendations for a G5 would be cool.

Is CDxtract what's recommended for disk images and CDroms? Pricing and links to this would be cool. Also, can newer versions of Toast burn copies of old EIII cdroms?

Hi KTracker, I have no problem accessing these links and downloading software from them. I suggest you try a different network next time. It could be that this site is blocked on yours.

The Alchemy versions stopped at 2.1. I am the one wich made this 3.0 version where I included the E3 !

And now, it spreads like a clap in in a high school ! Funny....

We should all be very thankful for your EIII integration in Alchemy!  Smiley

One question regarding Alchemy:

Alchemy needs an Audiomedia II or Sound Accelerator card for 16 bit output, these are NUBUS cards. Is there any chance to run Alchemy with a PCI card like the Audiomedia III?

I was able to download the files from Yahoogroups @ Emax and EII forums.   If anybody wants it, give me your email and I will forward ASAP.

Does the forum have the Alchemy 3 manual?  I can´t seem to find it anywhere?

Found out by myself: Just use Digidesign Sound Driver or Digidesign Control Panel and there you are, you can use PCI hardware via Apple Sound Manager (3.0 or higher) in 16 bit.

See download page here: http://archive.digidesign.com/download/sndrvr/

Depends on your system what you need, I use a PPC 9600 with Audiomedia III.

BTW: Found this way by just reading the Alchemy 3.0 addendum. RTFM!  Grin
