So I got a broken (literally smashed to pieces) Emax SE off eBay and I already had an Emax 1000 board with a blown digital (CPU) board in it.
I put the SE digital board in the 1000 which repaired it.
It is a Rev 3 board with the SCSI pins already on the board, but no SCSI controller chip installed yet etc etc.
I have a spare NCR SCSI chip and this is what I am wondering:
I have a non functioning EMAX II digital board (the scanner ROM is shot). Would the HD boot ROM from it work for the Emax SE SCSI conversion?
Basically, I am wondering if the needed hardware for the SCSI installation on the SE could all be taken from the Emax II digital board.

The things you lay awake at night thinking about. I tell ya.   Huh
