Hi,

My XP's getting stuck on boot up, goes through the checks, gets stuck on SCSI 2. Goes round again, SCSI 2, etc etc.
None of the panel controls make a difference.
Does this whether the OS floppy is in or out - is this what I think it is?
OS floppy death?

Thoughts?

Mark.

this happened to me then after a few months i realized the floppy power cable was not making a solid connection so i re-seated it and it was fine. if this doesn't work you can try a pc floppy drive using http://eiiiforum.com/index.php?topic=73.msg405#msg405

Excellent stuff, edude!

Can't wait to get back & try this out!
I've never taken my IIXP apart before, any tips on how to do it without damaging anything?

Cheers...

sure, take the screws out and don't damage anything :p

also take note of the polarity of the cable attached to the audio board if you remove it  Shocked
