Have any of you tried to replace the hard disk in an Emulator II+HD with a card reader?  That's my current thinking.  I want to keep the floppy drive because I have a huge library.  It'd be great to convert the HD to solid state.

Remove HDD and put HXC as second floppy drive. Will work perfectly.

A HXC is not really a alternate for a HD. The HD is 10 times faster and much more handy.
If you have a big library the EMuSer is is a good solution. It is faster as a floppy drive (HXC) and selecting the right bank is more handy.
