Looks like they are standard 1/4" shafts, but they are "D" shafts, so you'll need the knobs that Cosmo describes for "flatted" shafts (you probably knew this). I don't think a set screw would hold them very well.

I was just saying that I do not like these knobs (nor the blue leds) at all. You wanted some comment on your idea, didn't you?!

you can order the 1" cosmo knobs from synthesizers.com. The set screws hold fine to 1/4" round shafts ala minimoog.
