Ok I decide to remove HD from my second EII!!!!!!

as far i understand and did next:

1. SWITCH POWER OFF and OPEN EII Grin Grin  Grin

2. Unscrew HD unplug PSU and flat cable - REMOVE HD!!!

3. REMOVE cables from HD to ADAPTEC SCSI PCB!!!

4. REMOVE SCSI PCB and metal holder that hold SCSI PCB!!!

5. REMOVE cable from SCSI CARD to CPU daughter board CARD!

6. Unscrew and REMOVE CPU daughter board  PCB

7. REMOVE Zilog CPU from daughter board PCB and put it in socket where CPU daughter board PCB was before removing

i did all this now Question for last step!!!!!!!!

Im 99% sure i did all right so wanna be 100% sure about doing last step!!!!

scanner eprom in my EII is:    EII+ HDDM v2.5

I think I must replace that Scanner eprom with v3.01 .....

can you guys confirm if im right!!!!!PLEASE! ... or im doing something wrong !

Roginator, did you ever get an answer to this query or find out for yourself?

I ask because I'm in exactly the same position. I'm at the final step with new EPROMs on the way but I'm curious if the EPROM replacement got you up and running -- or if there was more beyond that you had to do.
