Title: EII - Keyboard Stand - FAIL
Post by: Elmbeatz on September 24, 2015, 02:17:11 AM
Hi Freaks!

Yesterday.

Put one of my EIIs on one of those cheap X-Type keyboard stands.

In a sudden the stand failed, and my EII rushed down a meter and crushed on the floor. It was loud. It sounded like everything was destroyed in this second, really.

It looked alright on the outside though. A quick inspection showed the two upper keys were damaged.

I switched it on to check. Everything worked as it should.

Unbelievable.

I was able to repair the two damaged keys.

Just wanted to share this story. The thing seems to be built like a tank (unlike everybody's talking...).

Greetz,
Elm.

Wow, that sucks!  I'm it turned out ok.  I think esynthesist had a similar experience, he wrote.  It seems with EII's once you get them working well, they are pretty solid...  I've never had any problems with moving it (just in my studio) of connections with the IC chips.
