Title: Just a few silly questions...
Post by: liquidzen on July 18, 2008, 06:29:09 PM
Can the EIIIXS read EIII samples? If I created samples on an EIII keyboard sampler... looped and mapped them, Can I load those sounds via Floppy into a EIIIXS? Finally, Does the EIIIXP sound like a toy compard to the EIII, or is the EIIIXS on the same level? Thanks.

hello!

please read the EIIIX manual!
an easy solution is to connect both sampler with one harddisk, which is formatted in the EIII format.

there is no way to load samples via diskette from the EIII into the EIIIX.

but the EIIIX can load banks from the EIII formatted Harddisk.
And the EIIIX can save banks in the original EIII format! but with the limitation: maximum of 100 samples and 100 preset in one bank.

all these information are in the EIIIX manual!

look under MASTER/GLOBAL "save as EIII bank"

The EIIIX doesn`t sounds like the EIII.
The digital filters in the EIIIX are exactly the same filters as in the EMAX II. I´ve got this informations e few years ago from E-mu Systems.
It is not the same level, but if the EIII get a 10 for his sound, the EIIIX get a 8,5.

Best Wishes

Chris
