And one more update - I was able to copy an IC5 from the ADC board.
So, now we have:
1 Memory board: IC7, IC33, IC47, IC50. 2 CPU board: IC10, IC 27 3 ADC board: IC5
the missing ones is IC11, IC32 from CPU board, IC8 from memory board and IC4 from ADC board.
PM me if you can help with jedec from missing PALs.
All the best, Kirill

It's mostly pointless to run Alchemy in an emulator other than for nostalgia. You need a REAL Motorola powered Macintosh computer, with an RS424 port, and SCSI / MIDI hardware to interface Alchemy with any vintage samplers. If you wanna buy a restored classic Mac, and MIDI hardware for your studio, you can contact us, we have lots of options, and they come with a fully authorized version of Alchemy pre-installed. email: Sales@Synthesizer.repair. Cheers!

Yes, unfortunately it seems to be a very, very long shot to have this chip replaced... I'm curious if it might be a possibility to reverse engineer the IM368/R6500-1 by logging the i/o communication across the pins somehow and using AI to piece together the code for the correct environment with another programmable microcontroller? Perhaps AI aided coding is up to the task?
Reverse engineering is a fools errand. The IC was made by Rockwell. A Rockwell R6500/1EAC with some customizations. But if you wanna buy a replacement, we have several on hand. email: Sales@Synthesizer.repair and make sure to include your full name, Eiii serial number, and your daytime phone number. Cheers!

Does anyone have any EIII Sounds on SD card that they could offer or sell to me?
Thanks,
gregre
Yes, but not for ZULU. If you have a SCSI2SD, PM!!

I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck getting a RaScsi/PiScsi working in an EIII's internal scsi bus?
Yes. We have gotten our own PiSCSI version to work. (based on a custom redesign of the original RaSCSI) If you have original CD's and / or ISO's or .IMG of Eiii hard drives, you can set the PiSCSI up to work with the Eiii. The Web-interface also works wonderful. However. If you have CD or Hard drive images in the EMXP format, you might have problems! This is the issue that I am currently trying to figure out, as I have a large number of CD images that were made with EMXP. Presently, EMXP does not provide a way to export these images as a standard .ISO, or .IMG. This is also the same issue with the ZULU SCSI devices. I hope E-Synthesist will chime and, and maybe have a solution for the community!!

Another update - I was contacted by one guy on FB regarding my success on reading jedec from IC27, and he sent me a jedec for IC10 (Type 16L8, Interrupt/Wait PAL with number IP373) that he was able to read from his EIII.
It`s a great news, we now have only two PALs with missing jedec, hopefully not for long...

Here is an update of the crusade for the CPU board PALs jedec:
I`ve got an access for the EIII that was probably "serviced" by EMU. As you can see on the pic, the IC27 has a sticker with IP374B EMU on it, and guess what - I was able to copy a jedec from it, as you can see on second pic, so it was not "protected". So, there is hope, that it is a possibility to find serviced EIII with replaced ICs on CPU board that is also not protected, and we can copy the JEDEC. PM me if you need a IC27 jedec and also if you have the same stickers on the CPU board pals on your EIII )
Regards, Kirill

Hi
As a reply to my own post I ordered a regular S3528 IC from Ebay which solved the problem. No need for a specific AMI 8507mai type of IC.

I know i`ve posted this question a few years ago, but its still relevant for me. I have a EIII with bad IC32 PAL - and midi out is not working. I`m still looking for dead EIII to cannibalize or maybe someone have a JEDEC file for it, so I can burn a new one. Any ideas are welcome ) Tnx.
