Title: "Sticky" Intermittent Buttons
Post by: who on March 22, 2015, 01:25:41 PM
Hi,

Is there a trick for dealing with "sticky" buttons on the EIII like there is on the EII?  On the EII you can pop the top off the button and clean the contacts.  Is the same true of the EIII?

Thanks

Hi dr. c,

I finally had a chance to dig into my EIII today and popped-off one of the buttons.  However, i'm not seeing what I expected.  Rather than seeing the metal conductors in the EII buttons, I see a plastic post to which the button connects.  I gently tried pulling up on the post to see if the contacts could be exposed underneath, but it didn't budge.

I'm afraid to go any further on my own for fear that I will break something.  Can you shed any more light on how to maintain the button contacts?

Thanks1
