Way too much money. and there's so many potential problems. If it breakes down  while shipping or even if it's collected in car, then your in some cases sold. There's not many pro service men left that can handle such a machine, and as it's basically a computer there's so many things inside that can't be repaired. Often a whole card will need to be exchanged. Many people of course know all this, but there's young people who thinks it's like messing about inside an PC tower. But any wrong handling can leave it damaged.

I would never pay more than 2000 GBP for such an beast. And I would only collect it in person and only after an carefull inspection.

Some people would be better of with the Emax 1 as it's about the same but with much much fewer and newer parts. (though the 'vintage appeal' is not the same on an Emax of course)

In any case: all parts/IC's inside have an limited lifespan. I wont last forever.

You think that replacing the psu will solve all future problems??

Th eE2 is filled with custom LSI IC's made by Emu and they can't be had anymore. If one dies your e2 is dead.
