Title: Acard 7720U
Post by: mg73 on November 05, 2012, 12:46:18 PM
Need some users info about this card
Is everybody experience that the booting takes a couple of turns
before booting with the acard.
Or could it be depending on which Firmware it has.

I have used both V769970 and IO DATA IDSC21-e and they boot direct
but the Acard(3.64) takes 3 turns thru the ID`s before booting.
Otherwise it works great and format perfect.

My EIII also has an Acard 7720U and scans the SCSI chain 2 times before booting on the third run.

ok so probably it´s the card itself and not the firmware

Is there any other scsi/ide adapters
than Acard,Yamaha and IODATA?

Yes the Aztecmonster,
from what I heard it´s a Acard 7720u with built in CF card reader
using Firmware 3.7m.
Also takes a while to "connect"
I asked Acard about that and they said to put the Scsi ID to 0 or as close as possible.
But it don´t seem to do it for me.
