Title: Possible use of Youtube for technical issues
Post by: midipuppies on December 03, 2009, 10:15:48 AM
I was thinking that instead of trying to describe certain problems with our equipment it would be far more helpful to see and hear the issue. For example, I have almost got my EIII stable after replacing various pieces of hardware, but now when I load in a bank and start to play, I get a nasty digital distortion every couple of notes or when a note is held. Trying to describe that is difficult. You just have to hear it. After some thought, I ran the ram test and the display said "- MB installed, IC ## 256k, IC 1MB", so I am assuming that I have got a couple of bad ram sticks. I have heard this kind of distortion before on E.O.S. units and it has turned out to be the ram either being defective or incompatible.
So what does everyone think? I think that a short video on youtube would be really helpful in diagnosing the issues that we have.
Not only could you see everything, but to hear what was happening would be useful too.

I welcome your input!!

Jay
