Title: How to start up a HxC floppy emulator on EII
Post by: Alponum on May 24, 2011, 09:41:06 AM
Hello!
I just got the HxC Floppy Emulator from Poland.
I can't get it work with my EII. I have installed
the power connector and floppy interface cable
from Emulator II.
I also formated the sd card and copied
the HXCSDFE.CFG file into it just like the manual said
(http://www.lotharek.pl/download.php).

When I put the Sd card in to the HxC and power up the
EII it blinks:
HXCSDFE.CFG not found / reading FAT..

When I try to power up EII with original floppy drive
and HxC the HxC's lcd screen turns into blanc.

What should I do? Please help me.

Hi,

After reading your others post, it seems that you have solved yourself this issue.

Anyway for any problem with the HxC Floppy Emulator don't hesistate to contact us :

- HxC Floppy Emulator support forum : http://torlus.com/floppy/forum/index.php
- HxC Floppy Emulator support email contact : http://hxc2001.free.fr/imiel.htm

About this problem, this look like an EII power supply issue.
The HxC Floppy emulator need a +5V power supply +/-10% to work reliably.
One test to do in this case : reduce or disable the HxC buzzer level. (Settings -> SDCard HxC Floppy Emulator settings -> User interface -> set UI Sound to minimum.)
