Yes... there is a channel problem, apparently.

Load a sound, go to Special, channel disable, and disable all channels.
You should not hear anything anymore, wich is NORMAL, but we have to try this first, just to see if the channel assignation works !

Enable channel 1 and play. Normal ? Disable channel 1
Enable channel 2 and play. Normal ? Disable channel 2
Enable channel 3 and play. Normal ? NO ? Note the channel number. Disable channel 3
Enable channel 4 and play. Normal ? Disable channel 4

etc...

Send us a report.

Cheers

hi agian I  did  what your say!Dr c !! the  channel assignation works !
and i   have find out that channel 6  don`t make a sound and 5 is making a distorted sound
so two channels  are not good, and what i also did whas this i have
taken off the S3528 of the considered channel and put it back in place.

and still 2 BROKEN CHANNELS !!the software could that  be it ?i only have one copy of the the bad perfomance disk wich i make 5 copy`s to see if that whas the problem but the bug is in that one diks i think and copie that diks is not the answer
i think ,what do you think ?      cheers .

Swap the S3528s from channel 5 and 6 and see if the problems move with them !

If not, there are some other circuits, like the SSm, etc... wich you can take off and put back in place.

As well, instead of listening to the mix output, try to listen by the separate outputs, sometimes the channel "mixer" had problems (rare, but it happened).

Pfffff...... ;D

Just operate on channel 5 and 6, no other one, ok ? Otherways, you are going to put a huge mess.

If you exchange the S3528 for channel 5 to 6 and 6 to 5, what happens ?

Does channel 6 have now the problem of channel 5 and vice-versa ?

What happens EXACTLY, please ?

I don't understand a word of what you wrote.
I am almost out of patience, there...

What the F*** is happening when you exchange the S3528 form channel 5 to 6 ?

This is ALL I am asking !

Is now channel 5 not working and channel 6 making a distorded sound ?

Ahhhh !!!!! At last !  ;)

I have to look on schematics but we have chances to have it working now !!!!

(20 minutes passed, here)

Okay, I know (I think).

I need you to make pictures of the region of channel 5 and 6, very neat pictures and put them here. Iwill then put intructions on the pictures and send them back here. This because I don't have any EII in front of me. OK ?

I just wanted to sleep, get some rest, read...

Okay, well, not too much. As you can see, channel are arranged in rows. All channels are the same except channel 1 (channel 0 in binary) wich you should NEVER touch.

Well, swap channel components and note the differences. You will find the faulty component by logical deduction.
Otherways, ther is Ruud VD MAATEN in Papendrecht our Swindrecht wich is an EXCELLENT Emu Technician.

I am not pushing out your problem at all, but Ruud is really the guy. Do you need his phone number ?
He is damn good and damn honnest as well.
I rely on him as much (and maybe even more) that I rely on myself.

Cheers
