Title: Re: E1 service manual Post by: Cybotron80 on August 03, 2011, 04:06:37 PM Thanks but anyone got service manual? Doesn't seem to be powering up.
Title: Re: E1 service manual..update Post by: Cybotron80 on August 05, 2011, 07:17:37 AM Still no service manual but I've managed to get it powered up. Showing all LEDs lit and disk drive continuously running. Does this mean disk replacement required?
Title: Re: E1 service manual Post by: Elmbeatz on August 05, 2011, 08:19:46 AM The thing boots from disk.
It's gotta have a proper disk of course... Do you know if the disk you have contains the Emu-I OS ? Title: Re: E1 service manual Post by: lubb on August 05, 2011, 02:01:48 PM Emulator I uses the cryptic error codes via LED’s. The meaning of the various error codes could be found in the Emulator I User Guide (page 4).

Since the PDF is quite a big document, I will contact Kenneth to host it... so probably it will be available soon on his website. Title: Re: E1 service manual Post by: fainardi83 on January 07, 2013, 01:40:39 AM ok thanks a lot

find it on theemus.com ;D here : http://www.theemus.com/documentation/emulator/ regards to all Title: Re: E1 service manual Post by: esynthesist on January 07, 2013, 07:09:29 AM Now that's a strange version (layout, fonts, drawings). I guess Kenneth tried to make the original PDF smaller in size by optimizing it with some OCR software. But some of the schematics in the second part of the manual suffer from this optimization process - that's probably why the link on the documentation page of theemus.com is not enabled yet (green floppy).
Title: Re: E1 service manual Post by: 12bit on January 07, 2013, 02:51:32 PM The original "un-tampered-with" Emulator Service Manual (a 50+ MB file) will be up in - hmm - 30 seconds from now :-)

Title: Re: E1 service manual Post by: seamonkey on January 08, 2013, 10:16:10 AM Thank you so much for picking up the information from the old site and hosting it.
Would also like to say how much I've enjoyed your sister site, the PPG site. I would urge other members to check it out. Very cool videos and sounds....makes me want to pick up a PPG, but I'm quite happy exploring my EII and using it to it's max. :) |
