Title: My EII Post by: Dimensional Space on September 04, 2011, 05:00:44 PM Worlds nicest EII? 8)
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v13/monolism/Clean.jpg) I'm very happy how it all turned out. Totally stunning. Looks better than new. New Dupont paint job from Ferrari painter in Southern California, new old stock original label, and new Nortitake VFD with blue filter. Title: Re: My EII Post by: Chevytraveller on September 04, 2011, 05:27:48 PM very nice job..
;D Title: Re: My EII Post by: oceansynth on September 05, 2011, 04:20:34 AM It looks prettyy good, but the original colour-look isn´t so shiny - sunglasses at night 8)
Can you please post the link, where to get this tasty vintage look display? Title: Re: My EII Post by: Elmbeatz on September 05, 2011, 11:45:57 AM Good!
is it a "new" label, too? Title: Re: My EII Post by: Dimensional Space on September 05, 2011, 03:04:47 PM yeah, new old stock. One of the members sold it to me for $100.
The pitchwheel decal is on the 3M printer now from the graphics company. The remake of the main label was never finished they said. They got 3/4's of it done and then quit. Too much work. So I got extremely lucky to snag an original. Title: Re: My EII Post by: Elmbeatz on September 05, 2011, 03:56:02 PM .... So I got extremely lucky to snag an original. .... :o Wow - yeah, you can tell! Cool thing! .... The pitchwheel decal is on the 3M printer now from the graphics company. .... So, the scans still made sense after all! Nice! All the electronics work? My 'good' EII begins to stress right now.. ::) Title: Re: My EII Post by: Dimensional Space on September 06, 2011, 12:30:15 AM Elm,
No your scans were never used. We tried them but everything was way off. That's an Emu original label from 1986 that you see, not a copy. Maybe it was from EPR? I don't know where it was sourced. I cannibalized an actual pitch wheel label from some EII that I picked up in Hollywood or somewhere. I don't even remember how I got half of these machines. It's blury in my mind. Oh and yes, everything works on this one. Do you think I would go through all that work on a machine that didn't work? :) Title: Re: My EII Post by: Dimensional Space on September 06, 2011, 11:34:49 PM It looks prettyy good, but the original colour-look isn´t so shiny - sunglasses at night 8) Can you please post the link, where to get this tasty vintage look display? It's not that shiny in person. It looks tits. That display is available on Ebay right now. Do a search. |
