Title: Dead OMI CDS 3 CD-drive for EII Post by: FairlightCMI on September 12, 2011, 12:52:37 PM Hello,
I was able to pick up a defect OMI CDS3 drive for the EII along with the original UOS disks. When powered up, the front panel power led doesn't come on nor does the tray open. However, you can hear a humming sound, presumably from the psu. Anyone knowledgeable with this unit can tell me if there's hope and/or can guide me to someone who might be able to fix this thing? I think its a lost cause now.
