Yes, it's possible to use an external 100MB SCSI ZIP drive with the EIII. I use it on my EIII.

You can also use the ZIP 100 plus.

I also use a USB ZIP 100MB on my MacBook that runs EMXP under Win XP. So yes, it's possible.

Cheers,
David

Note, you cannot use it as a startup system drive !

Hi e3luv,

My MacBook is running Leopard with a version of Parallels 3.0 that runs Windows XP. Under Parallels, I designated the USB Zip Drive to Windows.
When you connect a USB device while running Windows under Parallels it is automatically designated to Mac OS X. You have to explicitly tell Parallels to use the Zip Drive.

After that I can read and write EIII Zip disks using EMXP under Windows.

1]can you then make cd copies of the information thats on the zip drives?
and 2] can you then use those cds on other computers that have EMXP?
THANKS.

That would be Yes on both accounts.

You can load EIII banks from an EIII formated ZIP into EMXP and save them to a CD image that can than be burnt.
