Title: CF card in Floppy? Post by: who on October 24, 2011, 06:25:03 PM I recently purchased an EIII with a CF card installed internally. Obviously, this isn't ideal if one plans to swap cards regularly. Is there a solution for mounting a CF reader in the floppy bay?

Acard does require 3 scsi chains turns before booting which is not needed with the yamaha, don´t know why... there is a new SCSI IDE card called Raisin monster that is hot swappable but I don´t have any solid report that it will work in EIII but is seems to work in most other old samplers... the seller says AKAI/E-mu sampler machine is not recomandable for Big Volume and high speed rate CF card*. The total dimension with mounting SSD/HDD is bigger** than ordinary HDD size. So, you have to make sure of enough clearance. Limited manufacture item. *It is confirmed that over 32GB modern CF card has some bad compatibilities with Vintage Sampler instrument. I think Raizinmonster has a limit of 32gb but the EIII limit is 1gb anyway. Both Acard and yamaha are very critical which CF card that works.
