Title: Output Problems (Nasty!)
Post by: midipuppies on January 11, 2012, 06:33:58 PM
I am trying to solve an output issue on an EIII KB.
It has digital distortion when playing back presets and samples made at the sample in jacks.
Some notes seem to start to sound, but then they start looping horribly with noise and clicks/pops etc. Some notes 'rip off'.
I have changed all of the sample ram modules with no change. In fact, changing the entire micro-controller board has no effect.
Do you guys think it's in the ADC board? Whatever it is, it is rendering the synth completely useless.
It boots, loads/saves with no problems. Except for the sound it works perfectly. I tried swapping a bunch of chips out on the output boards as well but that just moved the distortion around the keyboard. I am truly at a loss on this one having spent almost the last 6 months trying to figure it out.
Any advice (as always) would be appreciated.

Jay

First thing I tried. Like I said, it seems to function perfectly except for the sound.
