my machine shows strange pitch. Sometimes it changes pitch while playing and it responses with much latency to pitch changes via the on board pitch-wheel, too. This behaviour doesn´t accour when using an external midikeyboard. Any ideas? And indeed, I also have to push or reconnect the cables between wheels and main board to solve it. Just like my EII, I'm not using screws anymore to open/close my EIII unit; these samplers have to be opened and closed too much ... but ...
