Title: Pitch wheel (left wheel) jumps values
Post by: dvdborn on April 09, 2013, 03:26:17 PM
The center point of my EIII's pitch wheel is not stable.

I can calibrate it but the center value keeps jumping to different adjacent values.

I've tried spraying some contact spray in the potentiometer but it's a sealed unit. It didn't have any effect.

So, what's the best solution? Replacing the potentiometer with a similar one?
Or is the problem related to another component (eg. aging capacitor)?

Is anyone else having this problem? It's especially annoying when you're scrubbing through a sample.

I also have that problem on one of mine.
The best thing would be to replace it
I donĀ“t know yet where to get it.

Anyone else?

I guess you have tried recalibration ?

Of course, I recalibrate at least once a week. Though it doesn't make much of a difference.

The best solution would be to replace the potentiometer but I don't know of a replacement part.
