Title: Potential Power Supply Replacement? Post by: who on January 19, 2014, 02:35:56 PM What do you think of this as a potential power supply replacement?
http://www.meanwell.com/search/rt-65/default.htm I've read I should look for a power supply rated as follows: 5V@5A, 12V@2A, -12V@.1A The Meanwell above is 5V@5A, 12V@2.8A, -12V@0.5A I'm still learning, so any advice is appreciated. Thanks! Title: Re: Potential Power Supply Replacement? Post by: who on February 01, 2014, 09:54:11 AM So I bought an RT-65B and am wondering about the toroid between the AC inlet and the power switch. I assume I should leave the component in place and not remove it. Any thoughts?
Title: Re: Potential Power Supply Replacement? Post by: who on February 01, 2014, 12:05:39 PM Does anyone know the PSU harness color codes? I assume the following:
pin: Color: O/P Voltage: Usage: Notes: ============================================================= 01 unused 02 Orange 12v dc 03 Green ground 04 Yellow 5v dc 05 unused 06 Purple -12v dc 07 Orange 12v dc 08 Green ground 09 Yellow 5v dc 10 unused 11 Purple -12v dc 12 Orange 12v dc 13 Green ground 14 Yellow 5v dc Blue Brown I make no claims that the information above is correct and anything you do with the information is at your own risk. :) Title: Re: Potential Power Supply Replacement? Title: Re: Potential Power Supply Replacement? Post by: who on February 01, 2014, 11:09:36 PM Just needed to connect the floppy. Emax now boots.
Now to replace the HD with an SD adapter... Title: Re: Potential Power Supply Replacement? Post by: Elmbeatz on March 10, 2014, 02:08:52 PM That's very cool.
Could you post a picture maybe? Greetz, Elm. Title: Re: Potential Power Supply Replacement? Post by: 80sboy on February 17, 2017, 06:21:07 PM How did you wind up mounting the Meanwell in the Emax? It seems like the mountig holes dont line up -
Ordered one... tom Title: Re: Potential Power Supply Replacement? Post by: 80sboy on February 19, 2017, 12:42:10 PM I think I've wired something wrong - when I do a Voltage check, I'm getting 24V instead of 12V
this is the power supply I'm trying http://034262c.netsolhost.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/SRW-65%20Specs.pdf Model 3002 - 5V 12V and -12V Here's where I'm confused, I assumed I could tie all the grounds to one connection, all the Orange wires to the 12V and all the purples to -12V - the old power supply had 14 connections, only 13 used, the new supply has 10 connections I'm assuming the ( - ) connections on the specs are the ground connections correct? So there are not enough individual outputs for everything - whereas the original had connections for each purple, orange and yellow and ground , the new supply has only 2 outputs for 5V (needs 3) 1 output for 12V (needs 3) and 1 connection for -12V (needs 2) Sorry, not wrapping my head around this, is this a no go? help! tom Title: Re: Potential Power Supply Replacement? Tom - Did you resolve the power supply issue? |
