I finally had a chance to dig into my EIII today and popped-off one of the buttons. However, i'm not seeing what I expected. Rather than seeing the metal conductors in the EII buttons, I see a plastic post to which the button connects. I gently tried pulling up on the post to see if the contacts could be exposed underneath, but it didn't budge. I'm afraid to go any further on my own for fear that I will break something.
