Title: Drumulator push buttons
Post by: sneakyalien on July 30, 2009, 06:46:56 AM
Hello,
does anybody know where I can find the blue push buttons for a drumulator?
Some of the buttons are damaged and need replacing.
thanks,
steve

I heard on the sp 12 / 1200 forum that EPR Electronics bought the remaining inventory from Creative Labs when they took over E-mu.

I wonder if anyone has a source for the metal push buttons (metal domes) that reside inside momentary blue switches

I don't think this can be possible.

I'm pretty sure you can get those same pushbuttons from Mouser for WAY cheaper.

and they come in colors in case you want to customize your drumulator (or SP)

happy to!  I had to fix up my sp-12, didn't know about EPR, so dug into the Mouser catalog and found those.  I replaced at least 5-6 switches on my sp12 and it was really easy.

in fact, a lot of the stuff on EPR (outside of the sp12 lexan overlay and stuff like that) can be 2nd sourced from places like Mouser or ebay sellers.

the good thing about EPR is that you can just order from them straight out and know that it will work in your emu machine.  if you take the time to search out some of the more standard parts and make sure the specs are correct, then you can save some money.  the question I always ask:  what's my time worth to hunt that stuff down?
