Title: Transfer 5.25 floppy soundfiles to hxc
Post by: studioetage on February 22, 2019, 12:28:47 AM
Hi!
Im new at this. How do I transfer soundfiles from my 5.25 floppy disks to my hxc floppy emulator?
Can I do it from floppy drive B in my EII or should I buy an external 5.25 floppy drive?

You must copy it from drive A to B.
You can't do it on a PC without a Kryoflux controller.

Ok so I have to put the hxc into slot B, right?

I think yes.
I removed my floppy drive a few month ago so I can't verify it.
But as I remember the EII says copy A to B so B must be the HxC.

alternately load the bank into the EII from the floppy and then Save Bank to a blank hfe file on your flash card.

I found that using Emulator II Banks to HFE v0.2 the easiest way so far to do a batch convert.
You simply place the .EII files along with any folder structure into the EII_INT folder then run the EII Banks to HFE v0.2.bat and it automatically converts them to HFE files along with the folder structure that you put them in.
You also get to select the OS overlay to  format them to.
