Title: FPGA-based Emulator II
Post by: bhamadicharef on April 03, 2019, 02:39:14 AM
Hi all

These days large FPGA can be used to emulate old electronics and I was wondering
if anyone is interested in the development (for fun) of an FPGA-based EII ? Reading
from the schematics (electronic engineer by degree) it is based on Z80 and lot of logic
chips. However there are a couple of EPROMs 2764 which I gather from reading where
in charge of the scanner and system. Are there dumps of these ? Memory-wise the
FPGA system could read from samples from SDcard, have large memory and try to
emulate the SSM chips using digital equivalents. If anyone interested please add your
comments. Thank you for reading ...

All of the files can be located in the yahoo emulator group as well as lengthy discussions on how the Z80 based system works. Good luck.
