Title: Repairing Small Chips in EII Panel Housing
Post by: pdub on August 25, 2022, 08:00:24 AM
Hi Group

I am in the process of restoring a EII+ HD. I plan to paint the top housing and get new overlays. There are some small chips in the case around the corners (see pic). Any advice for repairing these prior to painting?

Thanks, Charles

You are talking about the flakes embedded in the Original Color?
Just paint over or use Effect paint to replace them

You could try using Milliput, you can sculpt it by hand to the desired shape then use a stanley knife blade to trim off the excess after its set hard. I've had good results with this technique but not on an EII.
