Title: RS422 feature in EMXP has been released. Post by: esynthesist on May 01, 2010, 09:55:23 AM The RS422 support has been released in the newest version of EMXP today.
You can download this version (for free of course) on http://www.emxp.net As announced a while ago, this version allows serial communication between EMXP on Windows XP (or higher) and the Emax-I or Emulator II. Sound banks can now be uploaded and downloaded without having to use a vintage Mac computer anymore... ...you will need a custom built USB-RS422 adapter though :) Details how to build this adapter yourself can be found on http://www.emxp.net also. The thing is called EMUCOMBOX - OK, I admit this name is the result of a weak moment of low creativity. Anyway, I'd like to give credits to and thank MrJulian (fellow member on the Yahoo Emax Group) a lot for making this possible by sending me a jumpstart prototype last year. A new world went open for Emu Emax/EII fans. Note: in the future a smaller and easier-to-build version of the adapter may be released, based on another microprocessor board.
