Title: data slider not working Post by: vegas on May 12, 2010, 11:02:17 AM HI,
Ive tried recalibrating many times but no luck. Help Title: Re: data slider not working Post by: dr.c on May 13, 2010, 09:59:30 AM A tip : when you calibrate, BEFORE, put your DATA slider half way down (or up)?
Thne, calibrate. When you recalibrate, does it show different values ? Title: Re: data slider not working Post by: vegas on May 19, 2010, 06:17:55 AM Hi,
Thx for the response. There is no response from the data slider when i calibrate-(does not change values- only in the 'minimal value and maximum value area) When recalibrating volume for example the volume slider changes the values, not so with the data slider. Cheers T Title: Re: data slider not working Post by: dr.c on May 19, 2010, 01:54:05 PM As you can see, the slider is connected on one side to the +5V, the other end at the ground, and the slider goes from +5 to 0V.
Check if on the slider, you have 5V, or maybe, the slider is dead ! See enclosed doc, zipped pdf file at : http://mapage.noos.fr/dr.c/EIII.Pdf.zip (http://mapage.noos.fr/dr.c/EIII.Pdf.zip) Title: Re: data slider not working-fixed! Post by: vegas on May 28, 2010, 05:55:07 AM Hi,
Ok so I checked the voltage and it seemed to be working so the slider was not the problem. I ended up in the master special mode with the magic code 1358 and went into the display/front panel menu and within the data slider section I tried it and finally a response from the slider. From there, I recalibrated the slider, turned the unit off and on and voila we are good...for now. Thanks for your help Doc. My data slider was not working for a whle even After numerous recalibrates/magic codes etc... I checked voltage to slider and it was over 5 volts (5.5 or something like that) so...I lowered the power supply trim pot to 5 volts did a recalibrate and voila it works again. |
