Title: Data-Slider Replacement Post by: micromoog on June 01, 2010, 01:46:23 PM hi
my dataslider went crazy. It works the most time but now very often values are jumping to the current slider position. Is there a common standard part available for replacement? Or is it a "special" one? My old diva has also other "parttime" problems. Loosing a voice, then i put all conecters and pcb's out and back in - then it works again. Any ideas to fix this "sporty activities" for a longer period? Title: Re: Data-Slider Replacement Post by: dvdborn on June 01, 2010, 02:05:48 PM I've also got the jumping data slider problem. Most of the times it gets away when I clean the slider. But it always comes back at one point. It isn't really a problem for me since it only happens when the slider is not in use.

(Sorry, there was a link wich had nothing to do here) My old diva has also other "parttime" problems. What does it mean ? Change the flat cables if you mean these cables, stop messing around, Title: Re: Data-Slider Replacement Post by: micromoog on June 01, 2010, 04:01:01 PM Thanks for the answers!
"Parttime" problems means the machine works after reconnecting very well for a few weeks, then the same problems will appear again and again! There seems nothing damaged or really defect. Title: Re: Data-Slider Replacement Post by: alphabyte on August 29, 2010, 03:06:43 PM I had this problem with my Emax II for a while. Temp solution was to recalibrate the data range to the stable part of the slider. Not a great solution, but, it worked well enough.
I ended just buying a slider from EPR electronics along with some other parts I needed for various things. Replaced the slider and she is as good as new. |
