Title: Messed up EIII after key-contact cleaning
Post by: n.flanders on July 17, 2011, 02:04:32 AM
Hello again,

after my EIII´s first problem solved itself (the machine did not start up with the psu producing a wining sound) - it never reappeared so far, there is a new weird problem to be solved:

Yesterday I disconnected the keyboard in order to clean the key-contacts. After the reasembly the machine shows several malfunctions e.g.:

- when pressing "Load Bank" the line that used to say "untitled drive" is blank.

- I´m able to load banks, but when playing sounds, but when pressing keys there is either a very short "staccato-like" sound or no sound at all.

- The basic midi channel I found showing "28" when I moved the Data-Entry-slider, I was able to choose between channel 1-16 again like normal.

Can anyone give an advice?

Ok, I got it working!!! :D

Just needed to reinstall the software.

So, anyone who experiences a similar issue:

Never try to solve a software-problem fumbling around on the hardware!!! ;D ;D ;D
