Title: Upgrade a Emulator II (512KB) in II+(1MB)
Post by: jbfairlight on October 10, 2011, 11:44:04 PM
That day I tried to upgrade a Emulator II (512KB) to II+(1MB), but for now it gets stuck, I check all the changes and it's OK!

who has already transformed a Emulator II to II+ ?

I specify that Emulator II,  has a Digital Board REV. 0 from 10 April 1984.

before these upgrade it worked perfectly in version II.

I followed the upgrade procedure, I download here (http://f1.grp.yahoofs.com/v1/4KiRThydKJUhQacMwTp3clkn9wuRNUkN15NGPE5g6wIagBdXuyFXK4sOHrkEqoTE5f3xtjVkpkWna93XiZ8DB8EWd2QTnMzGwQ/Technical/EmulatorII1MBMemoryUpgrade.pdf)  (Emulator Yahoo Groups).

I have the following EPROM : Main 3.0, and Scanner 3.1

He stops at startup after displaying "Software Rev. 3.1", it seems to load the OS because it loads some disqkette sectors before stopping.

Do we need special versions of Eprom Emulator for II +, as MBMEM ?

I tested the memory with the diskette "ZM325 - Memory Test", after running, the program stop in F segment (the maximum version 512KB) and say : "everything is OK"... but do not test the memory beyond that segment :(

I also launch the test drive "SM326 - Scanner test", and here too all this as well !

It stops if I start with a floppy disk OS (2.3 or 3.1) and even if there is no sound on this disk.

Who has an idea, or a II + eprom ?

Sorry for my bad English ;)
