Title: EMuSer available soon
Post by: azone on February 03, 2012, 03:02:28 PM
I'm working on an EMuSer assembly.
The assembly was done for a client, but more will be available if anyone wants one.
I have not completed a BOM and don't know how much I will be asking yet.
The original batch is 5pcs, testing will be competed in two weeks.
It's a simple assembly I don't expect any issues.

The EMuSer was designed and developed by Kris Van de Cappelle.
The details are fully documented at http://www.emxp.net/

This product is simply a realization of this design for ease of build.

No idea on the speed I haven't tested yet. The pcb's don't arrive late next week.
If no problems and everything is working well it will be available very soon. I won't give a date until I know for sure.

This is great news since my equipment runs for cover whenever they see me with a soldering gun in my hand. :D

If the firmware and design is indeed exactly the same as specified in the EMuSer construction manual, the speed of transferring complete banks is:
- on Emulator-II: about 20 seconds
- on Emax: about 35 seconds

If you will become rich by selling these units, don't forget to donate   ;) ;D

The hardware has been tested with the EII and EMAXII and works as described.
This is a very well documented project and all the credit goes to those who did the hard work on the design, firmware, & documentation.

Loading time on the EII is 16s
Loading time on the EMAXII is 30s

Before building more assemblies I will be contacting those responsible for the EMuSer to make sure they are ok with the sale of this item for profit.
There should be another update soon although I will note this is one of many current projects and not the highest priority.

Brian.

Hey Brian,
Will these be available anytime soon or maybe I could just pick up one of the PCB's.
Need to  get an EMuser up and running soon.
Thanks

Check out this thread on EMuSer's for Sale, assembled and sold by Freddy.
He's had good feedback from those who've purchased them from him.

Here's the thread. http://eiiiforum.com/index.php?topic=2071.0
