Title: Technicians please: Modding a DPX-1 with a Jog dial ??
Post by: Elmbeatz on March 17, 2009, 02:57:10 AM
Hi group!

I'm not a technician, but I was thinking about if it's possible to 'exchange' the value up/down buttons with a jog dial instead (well, or 'add' a jog dial to the buttons).

Adjusting anything would be so much more intuitive with a jog dial: Pitch/Filter settings, Transpose settings  ::) ....  as everything works in 'real time'...

Are there any tech heads out there who could tell if such a modification would be possible somehow?!

Thanks for answering in advance!
Elm.

does the value up/down buttons respond to a midi CC?  that would be a lot easier that way,
than cutting into the face of your OB.

A buddy of mine asked that, too.
But no - all midi that's received is adressed to the original parameters of the loaded bank/disk. The up/down buttons on the DPX itself are 'stand-alone'.
