Post by: Edsta on March 22, 2009, 06:01:51 AM
Hi gang,
I've finally found a site that looks like it rocks when it comes to the beast that is the E III.
I'm looking forward to getting involved.
I have a dilemma although, I need a replacement Floppy 2.42 sys.
I'm based in London and have tried everywhere I can think of to no avail.
she lays in a coma till I can obtain a copy.

can any of you legends shine the light my way?

my first born will be named after the samaritan that comes through...lol

nice one,

Edsta

Welcome !

If you have a Windows XP or Vista machine, you can make that disk yourself.
Just download the OS from http://users.skynet.be/emxp/Additional_downloads.htm
and copy it to a disk with OmniFlop (which natively supports EIII in its latest version - otherwise use the Emax disk format of OmniFlop).

Make sure that you use an *internal* floppy drive, not an USB one. If you haven't one, ask a friend to use his or her computer  :)
In theory you also have to use DD disks (720K dos) but my EIII OS disk is a newer HD disk (1.44MB dos) with a piece of tape on the HD hole which acts like a DD one.

Success.
