Title: Custom Drums on SP-12 (Eproms)
Post by: Elmbeatz on May 21, 2013, 03:03:21 AM
Hi guys!

Has anybody got experience in changing the on-board drum eproms of the SP-12?
I think it would be really cool to change them with my favourite drums (sampled and then burned with an eprommer?)
That'd be 24 cool drums always accessible -  ::)

What do you think? Anyone done that before?

Best,
Elm.

you could even build a switchable outside ROM board for those. I myself though would restrain from doing so until the new version of EMXP is released, because no one really has decoded the format in which the SP-12 stores the samples. This should be featured in the new version of EMXP. Apart from samples not being in the right format, the whole thing is working and covered here: http://sp1200.myfastforum.org/FOR_MY_SP_12_HEADS_CUSTOM_SOUNDBANKS_GETS_YOU_5_EXTRA_SECS_about342.html
