Title: Strange Serial # on my Emu Emulator II*HD
Post by: seamonkey on June 06, 2013, 11:37:03 AM
I've had my Emulator II+HD for about year and a half now, and it's never left my keyboard stand since I unpacked it from the seller(Noisebug)ebay.
I never looked at the serial # because there was no need to.
Anyway, it died on me the other day with what looks like a PSU issue, it doesn't turn on...period..nada, nothing. I opened it up and changed out the fuse but still nothing.

I dropped it off at my vintage synth tech this morning and as he was writing it up he went..ummm. Of course I asked what, and he replied there were letters instead of a serial number...it spelled KACHER.

Has anyone heard of this before? perhaps a prototype? or one of the R&D techs at Emu?
I'm baffled and curious..anyone know something about this?

Helo, there !
I have "dropped" this forum for a little while, since I was spending a lot of time, for free. This is not a problem, but when, afetr all this, I am getting insulted by certain ones... (mail)
Things are going better now, so let's make a "reset" and see what it does.

Hi Dr C..yes, it is stamped on the sticker where the serial # should be.
