Title: Am I stupid? EII doesn't receive Wheel data via midi...
Post by: Elmbeatz on February 18, 2015, 03:52:57 PM
I tried to play my EII via midi masterkeyboard yesterday (Doepfer LMK 4+).
Works. But - The EII doesn't seem to accept any mod- or Pitchbend-wheel data over midi?!

I tried the EII's midi menu but didn't find any solution...

Other sound modules receive the wheel data, so the masterkeyboard transmits okay.

Am I stupid?
Any solution?

Greetz,
Elm.

Can you post the solution?  I remember having to figure this out a couple years ago and now I forgot the setting.  It's very annoying to have this situation come up as default! Thanks

Oh -- let me remember....

I think you have to manually assign any midi controller numbers to the corresponding destinations in the midi menu. VERY annoying, as these adjustments are PRESET dependant, iirc...

I guess this is due to the EII being a very "early" midi instrument...
