Title: Use of individual outputs?
Post by: dvdborn on December 23, 2010, 03:03:23 PM
One thing that bugs me about the EIII is that you can't group voices to different stereo pair outputs.

I always have the stereo output in use. Only when a specific voice needs to be processed separately I'll send that one to the patchbay, thus cutting it off from the stereo output.

One practical solution would be to have all 16 indidual voices go through a digital desk with memory and have a configuration for each different situation that you need and create submixes. It'll be an expensive solution though.

So, let's hear it. How do you use your EIII with the individual outputs?

The only situation for me to use the individual outs is when i use the EIII as a drum machine (in order to have real channelstrips for the different drums). When I just play usual "instrument" presets, i also use the stereo outs.

You know, I've never used ind outs on anything before.
Maybe I should try.
