Emax distortion + missing notes

Hi,

my "new" Emax rack mother board revision 2 has following problems:

- 4 notes plays OK
- 5 missing
- 6-8 distorted

Accordingly to the service notes it could be the E-chip problem, but there is no sign of ot in diagnostic tests, they are all. The problem changes when touching the ribbon cable from digital to analogue board (2 or 6 notes playing the rest is ditorted only). Could this cable be the source of problem? Or does the e-chip need to be calibrated? I´ve also changed the faulty floppy drive with Ensoniq VFX-SD one (works OK).

Any experience with similar problem? Any other possible cause/solution?
