Does anyone know if this drive would work in an EII? http://floppydisk.com/internal.htm

Or can anyone suggest further diagnostics when the LED just reads "Insert Diskette" even though both drives sound like they are spinning? I have tried many many different boot disks, I am pretty confident that it is not a disk issue.

it's funny I was just talking to JMP about this drive. Try to find out if it is the 475-2. He was saying he hasn't had success with the 3-4-5, etc.
There is a certain jumper setting that is required to get it to work.

Did you read through the Diagnostics manual pdf?
Maybe you will recognize your problem.

Should work since EPR used to sell that model (JU 475-2) as replacement drive:

Looks like it needs to be the AEG model though. Not sure about other variants of this drive.
It' has an extra chip installed that is not included on other drives.

BGM model also works as that's the one I've used. All other details the same.

is there anybody who can give suggestions for the right jumper settings for a ju-475-2 (AGG) floppy drive and the emu 2?
