My friends EIII/xp is dead quiet. Everything else seems to work. It boots from floppy and loads the sounds from the zipdrive. It also reacts to midi in. Anyone?

do the input meters move when recording a sample? i'm not a tech guy btw so...did you adjust headroom and calibrate the sliders?
