Mac OS EIII Remote beta released!

Hi Folks,

I am finally ready to release my EIII remote app for beta testing. You can download it here.

Please test the app with your EIII and let me know what you think!

I should note a few things I have planned:

• Ability to audition notes from computer keyboard (probably with caps-lock on as a toggle)
• Ability to enter text from keyboard when editing/naming patches/sequences/samples etc. rather than using up/down/left/right arrows
• Compile stand-alone EXE for Windows users

2.0 features:

• Librarian mode to catalog entire banks or hard drives' samples, sequences, presets, etc.
• Ability to send and receive samples via MIDI

3.0 (?) features (or maybe never!)

• Build or procure SCSI interface for Mac and implement SCSI sample send/receive. Yeah, that one is a long-shot…

And bugs:

• Display/LCD code doesn't currently know how to deal with custom characters (like "-1", midi note icon, panning ------|----- characters etc.)
• Some issues with "Clear line" code occasionally blanks display lines (while holding transpose, the "press a key" text is missing from LCD)

I'm sure there are more, but those are the top issues I've been working on.

I fixed the window sizing issue.

New release here

The app now looks at your screen resolution and scales the window accordingly.

Nice one!  Could you post a screenshot for windows users to ogle?
I'd be happy to test any windows versions for you.

Just tested beta version 1.4 mac and love it!!! The only problem I've had so far is when I was in sample mode and it wouldn't let me arm and sample.
Thanks for making a new remote software!!!
