hello all
my emulator is now alive but i have some problem with my floppy drive
the front panel LEDS lower get and upper get stay lit
when i press on upper or lower the floppy try to read the floppy but nothing
in the service manual it is said that it is a problem of alignment or bad sector

but the question is :

how can i do an alignment on the floppy drive of the emulator one

Hi Fainardi83

I'm not sure how to align the floppy drive.

I would instead try to clean the floppy drive first before attempting to align the drive.

Maybe you should also consider a more reliable up to date drive solution.

I bought a floppy emulator from Lotharek which work very well.

Hi Fairnardi83

Yes it is easy to make the floppy emulator work. You need to buy a floppy connector converter and another data cable.

It is more of a hassle to attach the emulator to the E1. You have to make a custom plate to fit the floppy emulator in the E1. I removed the original floppy holder on top of the E1. This gives easy access to the floppy emulator.

Another step is to convert your floppy discs to .hfe files on the SD Card. I haven't had the need to do this step as I have preprogrammed E1 .hfe files to use.
