Hey guys,

Tried to do the OLED replacement on the control panel
of my EIII Keyboard.

Unfortunately the 14 pin ribbon disintegrated upon desoldering.
Ended up (as was suggested) using small battery lead wire soldered
Individually and soldered into the individual corresponding pads on the OLED.

Well.. The entire control panel went all buttons lit up a couple of times when
I attached the ribbon back for the power board.
And then nothing.. The other ribbons are working as the Gotek / SCI2SD are active
When I power up the machine.

It appears my solder was touching some of the other contacts.
I decided to remove the OLED but left the battery wires on the PCB.

QUESTION: If the control panel is shorted can it be repaired? I?m not sure if maybe
It?s just a dead ribbon cable or not I will presume the soldering job shorted the board.

Any input would be a big help as I am lost on this one?

I want to attach photos but the site won?t take my JPG IPhone photos  Undecided Undecided
